Special Risks
|
AFA has identified a need in the People Insurance market for difficult to place “Special Risks”.
We classify Special Risks as those individual and group insurance proposals that do not fit comfortably within the underwriting parameters of local Australian insurers.
A risk becomes “Special” when applicants –
|
- earn a large personal income which equates to a very high monthly income protection benefit,
- require large amounts of life & TPD cover,
- reside outside of Australia either temporarily or permanently,
- are not Australian citizens,
- work in high risk occupations,
- are still working at an older age.

Life and general insurance advisers routinely experience frustration when trying to arrange suitable insurance terms for clients who may have one or more of these situations in their daily lives.
