 | AFA Claims Manager, Alex Wagner visits Lloyd's in London

| | AFA's Claims Manager, Alex Wagner, recently returned from visiting Lloyd's, in London, UK. Not wanting to become another claims statistic himself, Alex managed to sidestep London's recent dangers by arriving a week after the first terrorist bombing and leaving just two days before the second attack. AFA is now happy to have Alex safely back in Sydney, armed with new knowledge and experience from his time at Lloyds.
The dangers faced by ordinary citizens in the current political climate concern us all, but this was just one of many factors playing on the minds of Alex & the underwriters from the Lloyds/Gerling syndicate, as they met to discuss claims management philosophies in their respective countries. One prominent topic of the conference was the differing legislation that governs claims management in the UK and Australia, and its implications on insurance companies and underwriting agencies.
Alex already boasts a wealth of claims experience, but feels that his trip brought even greater insight into efficient claims management. He believes that meeting regularly not only strengthens AFA's relationship with Lloyds, who underwrite all AFA Group business, but also allows both parties to draw on each other's experience to ensure we are providing the best possible claims management systems for our clients.
